Ceramic vase, 'A Meeting of Cultures'

"I wanted to design a vase that celebrates two of Peru's most important cultures, " confides Lulli Luca as he describes his work. "First, I replicated the textile artistry of the Paracas culture, which flourished on the coast between 200 B.C. and 500 A.D.

Chulucanas ceramic vase, 'Turquoise Clovers'

Three-leaf clovers float on a turquoise breeze bringing magical elegance to this Chulucanas vase. The design is by Rafael Medel, who expertly blends his modern artistic vision with one of Peru's historic ceramic legacies. Developed in 500 B. C.

Metropolitan vase, 'Moche Wisdom'

Original contours define this ceramic vase, its central body enveloped in a vivid red mesh. The design is most representative of Peru's ancient Moche culture. Ruben Adanaque crafts the piece by hand, as geometric details exalt solid color contrasts.
